Privacy policy
Last updated October 24, 2026.
CapsJump never sends anything about you anywhere. The app has no analytics and no crash reporting, there's no account, and it makes no network connections of its own.
What stays on your Mac
- Your keys live in one file,
~/.capsjump.yaml. - A few settings, like whether CapsJump starts at login, are kept in macOS's usual place for an app's preferences.
- Each time you use one of your keys, CapsJump writes a short line to macOS's own log: which app, site, window move or link it ran, and how long it took. macOS keeps those lines on your Mac and clears them itself. Nothing you type is logged.
The app
- The icons and account pictures in the config window are the ones Chrome or Brave already saved on your Mac. CapsJump reads them there and fetches nothing.
- Accessibility lets CapsJump handle your shortcuts and move windows. Access to Chrome or Brave lets it find and switch tabs. CapsJump uses both only on your Mac.
- When CapsJump opens a site or an app for you, that site or app makes its own connections, under its own privacy policy.
